Veteran Broadcaster and Pioneer RATTAWU Chairman, Abdulrazaq Akanbi, Passes On at 66

 The broadcasting community in Kwara State is mourning the loss of one of its most prominent figures, Mallam Abdulrazaq Akanbi, a veteran broadcaster with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Ilorin. He passed away today at the age of 66 following a prolonged illness. A respected member of the industry, Mallam Akanbi was a retired Manager, Programmes at NTA Ilorin. Beyond his on-air and managerial contributions, he was a key leader in workers' welfare, notably serving as the pioneer Chairman of the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers’ Union (RATTAWU), Kwara State Council, from 2003 to 2005. His dedication to both broadcasting and unionism leaves a lasting legacy in the state.
